When viewing this page use Caution for many of these photos may be disturbing! This is photos of some of the cats that have been trapped on Avenal State Prison grounds. Since February 2, 2006. By staff at the prison that aren't trained in properly trapping of feral cats! This unhuman and cruel practice has been addressed at the Wardens level. But again nothing has been done by the Wardens office to Stop this cruel trapping that is going on with the feral cats on prison grounds. Use Caution In Viewing These Photo's
This is just a few of the photos of cats/kittens left in traps for days and hours with out food or water and were fighting in the trap for their lifes. Causing many to be injuired. I can't put all the photos of the cats injuired on this web site. Their is way to many photos of these cats/kittens injuired. But this will give you a idea to what these cats/kittens on Avenal State Prison Grounds are going through in fighting to stay alive at the hands of untrainned staff trapping the feal cats/kittens and just leaving them in the traps for days. Until the resuce volunteers are told about them and pick them up! Once they are picked up they rushed to Abby Vet Hospital in Fresno 72 miles from the prison. With a volunteer vet standing by to get medical treatement to them right away.!

This feral trap containted a feral cat trapped on prison grounds. When the untrainned staff lost this trap off the truck. They backed up to pick up the trap and cat inside running over the trap and caused the cat inside the trap to be injuired.
